5 SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE WAYS TO GET LISTING LEADS

Is your real estate business recently feeling sluggish? Here are five simple yet highly effective

ways to generate listing leads in your business and put a spring in your step.

#1 - Wear a Name Tag.

I know it sounds simple, but wearing your name tag with the Realty company you work for is one

of the best ways to strike up a conversation when you're out in the community.

#2 - Wear Clothing Items With a CTA.

The second tip is to wear clothing or a hat that creates a call to action and identifies you as a real

estate agent. You can try Etsy or the company All Things Real Estate to create custom pieces.

The best items of clothing or hats will include a question for anyone who sees it, such as:

-Do you want to sell your house?

-Are you thinking about selling your house?

-Do you have any questions about buying a house?

You could put the question on a hat, your shirt, or the back of your shirt. If you wear clothing that

tells people you're in business, like the name tag, while walking through the community, whether

on the weekend at the park or dropping your child off at school, it's a great way to start a

conversation and earn more business. It's an excellent method for generating listing leads.

#3 - Use Car Magnets or Lettering.

Another simple but effective method is to use car magnets or lettering. Some people consider

these to be cheesy, but depending on the type of clients you're looking for, having lettering on

your car or a magnet on the window is an excellent way to build a brand for your name and get

more business. Try a magnet that you can put on and take off if you're looking for luxury listings.

Whatever you do, make the magnet or lettering match the rest of your branding. The same can

be said for the clothing and hat.

#4 - Include a CTA on Your Business Card.

A call to action should be included on your business card. There are so many business cards out

there that provide no information or are so vague that you can't even tell they're a real estate

agent. Every real estate agent should have a business card, so if you're going to spend the time

printing one, include a call to action.

#5 - Take Advantage of Community Bulletin Boards.

Making good use of bulletin boards in retail stores and restaurants is a good idea. For instance,

I occasionally visit a small sub sandwich shop in my neighborhood. There are probably 20 different

real estate agent cards on this little bulletin board. As I wait in line, I read the cards and the calls

to action. So many real estate agents use a business card that is ineffective. Assume an agent

simply lists their name, photo, and something like "KW" on it. A buyer or seller may not be aware

that KW stands for Keller Williams Realty. That is yet another reason to use a call to action.
