3 Ways to Contact Your New York Expired Listings

You’ve got a list of potential expired listings, but how will you contact them? First reach outs are very important, so here’s three different ways to go about winning over that expired listing.

Write an Email

An email is a less invasive way to get the attention of a homeowner. It allows you to fully introduce yourself, provide a bit of your background, and tell why you’re interested in the property. Give details as to how you could help sell this listing to get the homeowners hooked! Because it is a less invasive way to contact a seller, the ball is left in their court whether they want to reach back out or not.

Give a Phone Call

A phone call allows you as the agent to showcase your personality and empathize with the homeowner. It allows for more dialogue. If you’re lucky enough to speak with the Manhattanite on the first call, great! Use this time to briefly introduce yourself and ask questions about the property and what they’re looking for in order to sell their home. If you’re unable to reach them, be sure to leave a voicemail with multiple ways of to contact you (phone number, email, and website).

In Person

The most bold approach of the three is to meet with your homeowner in person. This can be through knocking on their door or sending a gift. While much of the state is still following COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, proceed with caution on meeting a homeowner in person. However, this would be a great time to send a gift basket and a note as to why you’re the perfect agent to help sell their Brooklyn listing.
