There are some words which will add value and some that will send buyers running immediately. Words such as “cozy” can often read as “small” to a buyer. “Nice” is a word that doesn’t add value to the space at all yet “captivating” draws the reader attention and begs him to want to know more. “Impeccable” is also a word that will add value because it speaks to the quality of the home and ensures the space is move-in ready.
Highlight Unique Features
Talk about the view from the master bedroom and how it showcases the best sunsets. Talk about the large kitchen island that comfortably seats four people while still allows for extra counter space for food prep. These are details that add value to the experience the buyer will have within the home which will intrigue buyers.
Highlight Neighborhood Amenities
When people purchase a home, they are also saying yes to the neighborhood in which they will soon live. Highlight its best features! Note the closest park, the best restaurants within walking distance, and how friendly the community is. These add significant value to the buyer.
Be Accurate
Inaccurate descriptions break trust. It is important to be honest about the property. Do not use the phrase “in great condition” if the property has signs of water damage or stains on the carpet. Being honest sets realistic expectations for the buyer and in return they will be more accepting of the work that needs to be done.
